Our Mission Statement Our Code Of Ethics
The AURS was formed in February 1995 and incorporated under the Societies Act of Alberta. We are a non-political group believing that problems and differences are easily solved by working together and educating each other. An umbrella group such as this is much needed to unite different user groups towards a mutual goal; keeping our lands open and available for the enjoyment of our children and our grandchildren.
Individuals, Corporations, Associations, Clubs, and Dealers are welcome and encouraged to join the Alberta United Recreationists Society to become an integral part of what is surely history in the making!
The future of our outdoor recreational activities depend on the cooperation of all backcountry users and the willingness of everyone to get involved.

Trails Fund
A user fee concept has been established by the AURS. This is the first step in proving to the Goverment and Environmental groups that the users care and are willing to contribute to the education, upkeep, and maintenance of the areas we use year round. For a $20 yearly donation to the Trails Fund backcountry users become supporting members of the AURS and receive a Trails Fund decal.

Annual Activities
With the assistance of Land and Forest Services the members of the Society organize & participate in yearly volunteer workdays. For details on our upcoming events please click here.
